In order to limit global warming to below 1.5°C, global emissions need to reach net-zero by the mid-century, as outlined by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) in its 2018 report. Achieving this goal will require unprecedented action to tackle emissions from the production, consumption and disposal of products and materials, which currently account for nearly half of all global greenhouse gas emissions. But while discussion has so far centred predominantly on scaling renewable energies and improving energy efficiency, the potential role of the circular economy in cutting emissions has been largely overlooked―at least until now.
How can we harness the circular economy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions?
Register today for this 60 minute virtual event and discover the potential role of the circular economy in cutting emissions.
